Ayrshire Hill Racing Championship 2010

The Ayrshire Hill Racing Championship 2010 is sponsored by Advertisign Direct. The championship takes the form of a race series with points being scored at each individual race. First Ayrshire club runner home in each race scores 1 point, second 2, third 3 etc. The final total will be the sum of the 4 lowest scoring races for each runner and hence 4 races from the series must be completed. For 2010, as the Urie Loch race has been reprieved, the Championship will now be 4 races from 8. These races are as follows.

Race Date
Kaim Hill 21/04/10
Goatfell 15/05/10
Saugh Hill 06/06/10
Cairntable 12/06/10
Glen Rosa 19/06/10

No registration is required for the Championship so long as runners state which club they are running for when entering races. This ensures they can be identified as Ayrshire club runners in race results. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided from the head to head record.

Championship prizes will be awarded after the final event. Prize categories are as follows.

Male. 1st Junior, 1st 2nd & 3rd overall, 1st V40, 1st V50, 1st V60

Female prizes will depend on numbers taking part. (Only 3 ladies did 1 race each in 2008)(Only 4 ladies did a total of 5 races in 2009)
