Minimum of 5 races to qualify, with one from each distance category (see below). Points assigned as per formula 1 e.g. 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. In the unlikely event that we have lots of runners turn up, everybody gets at least one point. Total includes all races run, so the more you do the better.
Scoring for marathons, track 5000m and Houston will be done on the basis of times.

Alison Hardie of Scottish Huntington's Association (www.hdscotland.org) is holding 4 places for the Edinburgh Marathon on 25 May 2008. The Edinburgh marathon is ideal for the first time marathon runners and an ideal course for a personal best. It is one of the fastest marathon courses in the UK.
To secure one of our places, a minimum sponsorship of £500 is to be raised. The marathon starts from Edinburgh city centre and finishes at Musselburgh race course. If you feel you can not go it alone, there is the option of the Hairy Haggis Team Relay – a joint effort enjoyed by all. To confirm your interest, please simply send an email to alison.hardie@hdscotland.org or you can call her on 01505 322245 or 07903 840 524 in the evening.
Kevan Fulton started a Jogging group in March and it has been very successful. The Jogging group meet at 7pm at the Dam Park Stadium, Ayr. Showering and changing is available at a cost of £1.50 and the jogging group is free.
The route usually consists of an approximate three mile lap of the river. Don't worry about being fast enough, as the group usually splits up into little groups pretty early on and most people manage to run at a pace they were comfortable with.
If you are planning to attend please let Kevan know so beforehand so the group don't leave without you.
For further information, please contact Kevan at jogging@ayrseaforth.co.uk or on 0797 1918 715 for more information. You can also add to the discussion in the Jogging group section of our discussion forum at ayrseaforth.co.uk/forum
A "Frequently Asked Questions" paper has been released to the athletics press. Its purpose is to address many of the questions that have arisen from the Road Running Leadership Group proposals for restructuring the sport. This can been viewed by clicking here. If you have any questions regarding the paper could you please address them to either Mike Summers msummers@ukathletics.org.uk or myself, John Templeton.
