Great Scottish Run 2016

This weekend saw the Great Scottish Run once again take place in Glasgow city centre and again there were numerous athletes from Ayr Seaforth competing in the various races. First up on Saturday was the Junior 2.5k race which saw 11 athletes from the Junior section competing. The performance of the day was no doubt that of U15 girl Rosie Davidson who took 3rd place in her age group gaining the bronze medal. Sunday was the turn of the senior athletes as they competed in either the 10k Road Race or the half marathon which was won by Scottish Olympian Callum Hawkins. Several Seaforth athletes gained excellent personal best performances in both races. Well done to everyone who competed.
