The Inter District Cross Country Championships sees the best talent from the North, East and West of Scotland compete against one another in teams. The top 6 finishers from each district contribute to the total overall scores. This year the event incorporated the UK Cross Challenge with over 560 athletes taking part at Scone Palace. First up we had Iona Hubbard in the U17 Women race (6km). Iona helped Team West take overall 1st place after finishing 9th in a time of 24:58. Congratulations Iona! Sister Islay Hubbard was in the same race as part of the UK Cross Challenge finishing in 46th place overall (10th in her category) in a time of 27:26.
In the Senior Women race Team West finished 3rd overall. Kirstin Oakley was 21st place over the 8km route clocking 31:49 and Hannah Terrance was 42nd in a time of 33:18. Morven Hubbard, who was competing as part of the UK Cross Challenge, finished in 62nd place (12th in her category) in the same race with a time of 34:46.
