Thank you to everyone who participated in Sunday’s Club Championships, especially all of the volunteers who offered their services to support our athletes. A special shout out to Ian Hutton who once again, undertook the unenviable task of rounding up and organising volunteer help.

It was a pleasure to see our athletes come together for some competitive fun! Well done to all the athletes who scored highly and came out on top.  A summary of winners and runners up plus full results tables can be viewed below.

National Indoor Age Group Championships 2019 – The Emirates, Glasgow

This years Indoor National Age Group Championships have been taking place over the last two weekends and Ayr Seaforth have been well represented throughout the age groups. A total of five medals were won by Seaforth athletes with U13 athlete Grace Dunlop excelling and taking home 2 medals. In the U13 age group Iona Hubbard took Gold in the 1500m and Grace Dunlop won Silver in 200m & Bronze in 60m. Senior woman Carolyn Harvey continued her National success taking Gold in the Triple Jump but it was an U15 athlete who shone brightest with Libby White taking part in her first ever Triple Jump. What makes Libby’s performance all the more incredible is that this was her first ever Triple Jump competition in which she fouled with her first attempt and then broke the Scottish Indoor Record for her age group with her first ever counting jump! Congratulations go to all medal winners from everyone at Ayr Seaforth.

Kilmarnock Open Graded – Tuesday 12 June 2018

The latest of this years Ayrshire competitions took place at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena, Kilmarnock on Tuesday night with quite a number of the younger members of Ayr Seaforth taking part. For some it was their first taste of competition and what better way to get a feel for what it is like to compete than to do it at a local event. The weather was in the main favourable with bright, sunny conditions although there was the usual stiff breeze at this venue. Full results for the night can be found by clicking this link Kilmarnock Open Graded Results
